Wong Fei Hung - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wong is sometimes included in the Ten Tigers of Canton (ten of the top martial arts masters in Guangdong towards the end of the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912), a group to which his father Wong Kei Ying belonged).
Wong began showing great potential, and, by his early 20s, was fast making his mark as a highly-respected physician and a martial arts alumnus.
Wong was a master of the Chinese martial art Hung Gar, which was created by Hung Hei-kwun, a Fukien merchant.

Hung Gar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hung eventually left his home in Fujian for Guangdong (once known as Canton), bringing the art with him.
After escaping the burning Temple, they took the surname Hung, and renamed their art to Hung-Ga, after Hung Mo-Jue, the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, whose line was ended by the Qings.
Because the history of the Chinese martial arts was historically transmitted orally rather than by text, much of the early history of Hung Gar will probably never be either clarified or corroborated by written documentation.
