Pointillism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pointillism is a style of painting in which non-primary colors are generated by the visual mixing of points of primary colors placed in close proximity to each other.
This technique was in contrast to current methods of creating non-primary colors, including mixing pigment in the palette or using pigments out of a tube.

 Pointillism
Pointillism is a technique utilized by artists of the Neo-Impressionist movement that flourished primarily in France from the years 1886 to 1906.
He practiced pure Pointillism in his paintings, including his 1886 masterpiece Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, a painting that has become iconic of late 19th century artwork.
Fed up with the random spontaneity espoused by Impressionist painters, artists including Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, and Henri-Edmond Cross turned to a measured scientific approach to art and color theory.

The first side of the original album is taken by the 22-minute opus "Skenet bedrar", which is a tour de force of melodic and innovative progressive rock brimming with colourful melodies and instrumental ideas churned out by Stolt's guitar and Lundin's extended keyboard arsenal and tuned percussion.
Between the stately mood created by the Camel-like guitar theme that opens and closes the track, the music races through solemn symphonic song, angry rock, melodic percussion pointillism, hyper-charged synth/guitar duels and even a spacey section with a subterranean "voice of the Almighty".
The second side is more uneven, with a couple of shorter tracks that lack development; of these, "Dagens Port" could have been a real winner, as it has a truly exalted melody, but no chance to realise its full potential in less than three minutes.
